Shri Satyaprajna Teertharu was the pontiff of Shri Uttaradi Matha during the period from 1942 to 1945.

His purvasahrama name was Shri Pandurangi Jayacharya. Shri Satyaprajna Teertharu was ordained as monk and succeeded to the pontificate in 1942. After being initiated to Vedantha Samrajya, he took up the construction of Brindavana in Pandharapur to his beloved guru Shri Satyadhyana Teertharu and performed Mahasamaradhana in a large scale.

When Shri Satyadhyana Teertharu was pithadhipati of Shri Uttaradi Matha, Shri Satyaprajna Teertharu was functioning as the Divan of the Math. Shri Satyaprajna Teertharu learned Nyaya and Vedanta from Shri Satyadhyana Teertharu. Shri Satyaprajna Teertharu ordained Shri Kusunur Venkannacharya to the pontificate throne of Shri Utaradi Matha. He named him as Sri Satyabhijna Tirtha. He entered Brindavana in 1945, on Chaitra Shuddha Dvitiya in Atkur on the bank of river Krishna.
