Rudra
Rudra, also known as Lord Shiva, is the son of Brahma. He is the controller of ahamkara tattava. He was born off Lord Brahma. He is a very powerful god. His abode is Kailasa. His consort is Sati or Parvati. His grace is required for one get devotion towards viShNu. He is great devotee of the supreme God and occupies the 5th position in the Taratamya of souls along with Garuda and Sesha. He occupies the post of shesha in his next birth. He did great penance for ten years (according to the divine calendar) in the salt ocean. He also got instruction from lAtavya, a R^iju yOgi for 75 years.
In the dvapara yuga, he incarnated as sage shuka and ashvatthAma.
