Independent Reality - viShNu
The school of Madhva, envisages a first principle of reality which is an independent substance known as svatantra tattva. It is independent in the sense that it is self-supporting, self-activating and self-cognizing that is to say, the independent or the svatantra tattva does not depend upon others for its very essential nature, function and cognition. It is identified by the names Vishnu, Narayana, Brahman etc.
