The important sacred precept during DHANURMASAMU is doing saligrama puja before sunrise and during puja cook and  offer 3:1 ratio of Greengram and rice which is called as huggi in kanada ans pulagam in telugu to paramatma. if we are unable to do daily atleast we should do this sacred precept on sundays of dhanurmasamu or else we would fell in rourava narakamu.
